The Good Men campaign is a communication initiative led by the Ministry of Women’s Affairs (MoWA) and is coordinated with the  support of the NGO Paz y Desarrollo (Peace and Development – PyD). The overall and long term goal of the Good Men campaign is to reduce Violence Against Women in Cambodia through the setting up of primary prevention interventions.

The Good men campaign was officially launched on 9 December 2011 and materialized through mass media. For years 2012 and 2013, the campaign will be put into practice through interventions pertaining to social mobilisation.

The Good Men campaign is therefore calling for proposals from NGOs whom are committed to the promotion of the themes of the campaign.

The proposals submitted should exclusively focus on primary prevention and targets male aged 15 to 49 only. The proposals should not target perpetuators or women victims of violence.

The focus areas of the social mobilisation component of the Good Men campaign are:

  • · Volunteerism and activism
  • · School-based interventions
  • · Sport for Development

The deadline for the submission of proposals is Friday 16 March 2012 at 17.00 PM at the latest. The proposals will be screened and assessed by the Technical Working Group of the Good Men campaign that will make a recommendation to the Steering Committee.
